So you're thinking about participating in a Grossology LIVE event with children you care about. Here are some things you should know.

Grossology LIVE has been designed to educate and entertain a broad range of ages (including adults) although we believe it is most appropriate for children in the 8-14 year old range.

Grossology LIVE content has been created by a team of certified science and health educators with extensive expertise in program development and delivery strategies. Each program undergoes a detailed review and revision process to ensure accuracy and diversity of concepts. In fact, every Grossology LIVE program is aligned to science and health academic content standards for states served by the participating Health Centers and Science Museums.

Grossology LIVE programs are presented jointly by an educator located locally at the participating center and a professionally-trained actor located remotely at the Grossology LIVE studio in Indianapolis. The result is an experience that is as educational as it is entertaining.

Each Grossology LIVE program lasts about 1 hour. Most of that time is spent in the live interactive video experience. The remaining time allows opportunity for the Health Center and Science Museum educator to engage the audience in preparatory and extension experiences.

The core of Grossology LIVE's programming is biological sciences. However concepts from other scientific domains, including chemistry, physics, and environmental sciences, are also explored. The following are just a few of the concepts that are presented throughout Grossology LIVE. Digestive, respiratory, and integumentary (skin) anatomy and physiology Bacteria and viruses Characteristics and states of matter Acids and bases Sound and vibration Force and motion Personal hygiene
